Requirements & Responsibilities
In order to be considered for the Student Ambassador program, you must be in good academic standing at Georgetown University and maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
To be eligible to apply you must be either:
- A part-time student within your fourth semester
- A full-time student within your second semester
Ways to Be Involved
Connecting with Admitted Students
It will be the duty of the Ambassador to share insight about the program and student experience. Our goal is to help future students connect with the program.
Information sessions will be held in various cities throughout the country. If you’re an Ambassador who lives in a city where an information session is being held, you may be asked to participate.
The Student-to-Student Panel is an opportunity to bring together incoming students and students who have already experienced their first semester. This panel allows incoming students to better prepare themselves for their first semester by hearing advice from existing students and asking questions.
The Nursing@Georgetown blog is a forum to interact with fellow students and to share your thoughts on the program.
These profiles highlight the various academic and career paths followed by current Student Ambassadors. Student Spotlights are also an opportunity to share stories about Nursing@Georgetown and your community.
Responding to Social Media Inquiries
Occasionally, prospective students reach out via social media channels and request to speak with a current student regarding their experiences, issues of time management, the technology’s ease-of-use, and more. Depending on how specific the question, a Student Ambassador might be asked to follow-up via phone or email.
