Online AG-ACNP Program Curriculum

The distance based, online AG-ACNP program is centered on the Jesuit ideal of cura personalis, or care for the whole person — body, mind, and spirit. Designed for RNs with at least one year of full-time experience in an intensive care unit, emergency department, or progressive care unit, students learn to communicate clearly with patients and families, listen actively to their concerns, and manage complex acute health situations. As an online student in this program, you will:

  • Learn in intimate online classes of 12 students or less.
  • Engage with dynamic course content through 2GU, our innovative online platform and mobile app.
  • Access coursework and live classes from your iPhone, iPad, Android device, or computer.
  • Partner with a clinical placement specialist, who will help you secure placements that align with your goals.
  • Build lasting relationships with your professors and peers.

Graduates of the online AG-ACNP program are eligible to sit for national certification offered by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN). Once certified, they may serve as nurse practitioners in acute and complex care settings for adult and older adult patients.

Become the nurse practitioner your community needs.
