Online Nurse-Midwifery/Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner Program (NM/WHNP) Overview

The online dual NM/WHNP program at Georgetown University School of Nursing prepares advanced practice registered nurses to provide primary care to individuals across the lifespan as well as during their pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum periods; in sexual and reproductive health; in gynecologic health; in family planning services; and in preconception care. They are also equipped to manage the care of newborns up to one month of age.

Midwives also provide safe, comprehensive, and culturally-responsive health care to transgender and gender non-binary (TGNB) people and to people of all sexual orientations.
