The online Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program prepares nursing professionals to evolve into advanced practice nurses and nurse-midwives with the foresight and experience to lead the advancement and implementation of health care.
Applicants for all graduate nursing programs must meet Georgetown University’s high standards regarding academic background, clinical experience, and leadership ability.
BSN to DNP Admission Requirements
Eligible candidates for the BSN to DNP program must:
- Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL)/entry-level Master of Science in Nursing degree from a CCNE- or ACEN-accredited institution
- Hold a current U.S. registered nurse (RN) license
- Have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA and a 3.0 science GPA
- Have successfully completed a college-level, three-credit course in statistics with a grade of C or better
AG-ACNP applicants, please note: The AG-ACNP program requires you to have completed one year of full-time experience in an intensive care unit, emergency department, telemetry unit, or progressive care unit.

To be eligible to apply for the online BSN to Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Program, you must submit:

- Sealed official academic transcripts
- A one- to two-page personal statement
- A live recorded interview
- Three letters of recommendation
- The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or International English Language Testing System (IELTS) if your native language is not English
