How We Support You

Georgetown University School of Nursing students receive high-quality, responsive, and dedicated support from first contact, all the way through graduation and beyond. As a student, you will receive academic, professional, social, and personal guidance, including:

Admissions support from a dedicated admissions counselor, who is available to answer your questions about the program, your application, and the nursing admissions process.

Admissions counselors are committed to providing you with timely information about life as a Georgetown University student and the program application process. From research to enrollment, counselors are available to:

  • Answer questions as you prepare your application.
  • Offer information regarding financial obligations, scholarship opportunities, and financial aid.
  • Help you become familiar with our renowned curriculum and the online learning format.
  • Provide you with useful resources such as webinars and virtual classroom tours.

Clinical placement in carefully monitored settings that are selected in partnership with Georgetown faculty, based upon your specialty and location.

Clinical placements are secured through collaboration between students, faculty, and the clinical placement team. You will be asked to provide suggestions of known clinical sites or preceptors in your community that may be willing to support you throughout your supervised clinical experience. During your clinical placement, you will work under the guidance of an experienced preceptor, gaining real-world experience with patients and taking on increasing responsibilities in a hands-on setting.
