Georgetown University School of Nursing & Health Studies’ (NHS) online graduate nursing programs provide clinical and didactic preparation for careers that span the health sciences and promote health equity around the globe.

Nursing@Georgetown programs include a Master of Science degree in Nursing, Doctor of Nursing Practice, and Post-Graduate Certificate.

Online and In-Person Education From NHS Faculty

You will benefit from the experience and mentorship of NHS faculty, who are fellows, active clinicians, and health care leaders. NHS faculty will guide you as you engage in the following experiences:

Develop specialized skills in HD-streaming, live online classes, informed by interactive content such as a 3D anatomy tool.

Practice clinical techniques at on-campus intensives with standardized patients and genitourinary teaching associates (GUTA).

Treat patients during clinical placements at sites that align with your program track and meet Georgetown’s high standards.


NHS offers the following specializations at the master’s, doctoral, and post-graduate levels:

  • Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AG-ACNP)
  • Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
  • Nurse-Midwifery/Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (NM/WHNP)
  • Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP)

The dual NM/WHNP specialization is offered at the master’s and doctoral levels. The Post-Graduate Certificate offers separate Nurse-Midwifery and WHNP specialties.
