Academic Rigor, Values-Based Curriculum, Online Delivery

The dual Nurse-Midwifery/Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (NM/WHNP) program prepares students for a range of advanced nursing capabilities:

  • Provide primary care to women across the life span.
  • Offer reproductive care during the childbearing years.
  • Manage the care of newborns up to one month.

Through a blend of asynchronous didactic content, synchronous class sessions, and on-campus intensives (OCIs) students benefit from the same academically rigorous, values-based education all Georgetown University students experience.

With the support of a dedicated clinical placement team, students participate in high-quality clinical placement opportunities. Each student partners with an individual preceptor — selected and validated by Georgetown University — who prepares the student with the necessary skills to sit for board certification exams.

This program is completed on a part-time basis over the course of 27 months.
