You will receive specialized clinical training to provide care for the population of your choice:
- Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AG-ACNP)
- Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
- Nurse-Midwifery/Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (NM/WHNP)
- Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP)

Online Nursing@Georgetown students have access to the same resources as on-campus NHS students, including support from our highly renowned faculty and clinical placement specialists.
Through the clinical and didactic training you receive, you become well-prepared to pass board certification and excel as an advanced practice nurse.
NHS graduates regularly achieve outstanding first-time pass rates on the board certification exams. The statistics below represent pass rates for both on-campus and online students who graduated from Georgetown University’s MS in Nursing program in the year indicated.

3. Develop as a Practitioner With Clinical Placement Support
Nursing@Georgetown’s clinical placement team — which includes placement specialists, Clinical Faculty Advisors, and NHS faculty — is dedicated to providing one-on-one support through each placement experience, helping you evolve as a health care provider.
The clinical placement process involves an ongoing partnership between the student and placement specialist, from enrollment to graduation. Placement specialists strive to identify and secure clinical sites that:
- Meet the high standards of NHS faculty
- Align with your program track
- Fall within a reasonable distance of your community5
