Georgetown University Offering Post-Master’s Nursing Certificates Online Starting in 2019
Georgetown University School of Nursing & Health Studies will soon be offering a Post-Master’s Certificate program.
The Post-Master’s Certificate program prepares professionals with a Master’s Degree in Nursing to earn post-master’s nursing certificates online, expand their expertise, and sit for certification examinations in their chosen specializations.
Four specializations will be available:
Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP): Manage primary care for the whole family across the life span.
Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AG-ACNP): Serve adult and older adult patients in acute and complex care settings.
Nurse-Midwifery (NM): Provide reproductive health care, labor and birth care, and integrated midwifery care.
Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP): Develop specialized skills to treat and prevent illnesses unique to women and provide gynecologic and primary care to women across the life span.
The first Cohort launches in September 2019.
Applicants must hold an MS in Nursing degree to be eligible for consideration.
