What is Nursing@Georgetown
Nursing@Georgetown is Georgetown University School of Nursing & Health Studies’ online Master of Science degree in Nursing program. With the same rigorous curriculum as the on-campus program, Nursing@Georgetown blends live, face-to-face online seminars with hands-on, practical field experience in, or near, your own community. Nursing@Georgetown prepares nurses to treat the whole person to improve health outcomes for individuals and communities.
What programs are available?
Nursing@Georgetown offers four career-focused program options:
- Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner/Adult Gerontology Clinical Nurse Specialist (AG-ACNP/CNS) for nurses who want to improve acute care management for the adult patient population
- Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) for nurses who want to lead and improve care for families
- Nurse Educator for nurses who want to teach the next generation of caregivers
- Nurse-Midwifery/Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner for nurses who want to care for women and newborns

Nursing@Georgetown is a nursing graduate program that combines online seminars with field experiences in your own community. Georgetown’s highly regarded faculty assist with and monitor student field placements, so that you can carry out your field work within an organization that meets your personal interests and your career goals. Our Master’s in Nursing features the same curriculum as the on-campus program, students graduate with the same Georgetown University degree as the on-campus program, and graduates are members of the Georgetown University Alumni Association.
