How to Enroll in Nursing@Georgetown
Below are the next steps you’ll need to take to enroll as a Georgetown University School of Nursing (GUSON) student.
Step 1: Set Up Your Required Accounts
Activate the Georgetown University accounts you will use throughout your time in the program, including MyAccess and Hoya Mail.
Step 2: Confirm Your Enrollment
To confirm your enrollment, you will need to sign your Intent to Enroll (ITE) form and pay your non-refundable enrollment deposit in MyAccess within 14 days of receiving your ITE. You should have received an email containing the ITE form. NetID and temporary log in credentials to MyAccess will be emailed to you by your Admissions Counselor 24-48 hours after signing the ITE so that you can log in and pay your non-refundable enrollment deposit.
Step 3: Begin the Financial Aid Process
If you are planning to pursue financial aid, consider beginning the application process as soon as possible.
Step 4: Connect With Your Student Success Specialist
Your Student Success Specialist will host a program welcome session and success planning calls to prepare you for the start of classes.

Step 5: Submit Transcripts and Complete Clinical Requirements
You will need to send official transcripts and meet certain requirements to be able to begin classes and participate in clinical placements.

Step 6: Register for Classes
These instructions will tell you everything you need to know to register for your classes.
Step 7: Complete Orientation and Onboarding Sessions
You will need to complete an online orientation course as well as attend a technology training session and a student-to-student panel before classes begin.

Meet Your Support Team
Student Success Specialist
Student Success Specialists support you from enrollment through graduation by providing proactive outreach and resources necessary for success. You will first meet the Student Success team in your Program Welcome Session. Your assigned Student Success Specialist will help connect you to the Georgetown University community and resources and will be your main contact regarding processes such as CastleBranch, registration, and 2GU navigation and access.
The Student Success team offers extended hours and is a good point of contact if you have questions or need to be connected to resources. You also have access to the 24/7 technical support team. You can contact both teams at 877-503-4676 or OnlineNursingStudentSupport@georgetown.edu.
Academic Advising Deans
In addition to your Student Success Specialist, you will be assigned an Advising Dean (AD) by specialization in order to promote optimal progress throughout your program. Your AD is an expert in adult learning and managing multiple responsibilities as well as in the policies and procedures that guide course progression, plans of study, leaves, university procedures, and broader resources.
Due to the individual nature of academic advising, ADs are most easily available by appointment. To make an appointment, contact the AD for your specialization. FNP students should email Caroline Kay, and AG-ACNP, NM/WHNP, and WHNP students should email Kelly Grady.
Placement Specialists
GUSON faculty and the Nursing@Georgetown placement team will partner with you to secure clinical sites and preceptors based on your specialty and location. Your placement specialist and Clinical Faculty Advisor will carefully monitor each of your placements to ensure they meet Georgetown’s high academic standards.
The clinical placement team will schedule a welcome call with you in the semesters prior to starting your clinical practicum, where they will explain the clinical placement process and answer questions.
